Little Barn Volunteers

Barn volunteers work hands on with dogs and cats, performing tasks ranging from walking, training, feeding and socializing animals to helping with laundry, processing donations, and cleaning. The Little Barn is the center of activity for ALIVE Rescue and provides a space for incoming dogs and cats before they are placed in foster homes, in addition to housing some of the more long-term residents that need consistent medical care or behavioral work before finding their permanent homes. In order be able to staff the barn and provide the animals consistency, we offer two shifts for volunteering each day. Barn shifts are available 9am – 12pm Sunday through Friday, 9am – 2pm Saturday, and 6pm – 9pm 7 days/week. To ensure the safety of our volunteers and animals, all volunteers at the Little Barn must be aged 21 or older.
