The Adoption Center is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic! We are still doing adoptions.
PLEASE NOTE

ALIVE Rescue cannot take strays. While we are a no-kill animal rescue, we are not open-admission and as such we cannot take your pet directly.

All strays must be taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), but there are other things you can do before bringing an animal to CACC:

  • Take the animal to the vet and have it scanned for a microchip.

  • Check on Lost Dogs of Illinois to see if the animal was posted there. If not, post the animal on Lost Dogs of Illinois.

  • Print out flyers and hang near the area the animal was found.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
