Intake week: 6/8/20
Timmy came to us from one of our rescue partners in Texas (SARA). They knew how much we enjoy rehabilitating feral dogs so when Timmy crossed their path, they immediately reached out to us.
We don't have a lot of history on Timmy, but we quickly learned his experience with humans has been very limited. When Timmy first arrived at Paradise 4 Paws, he would cower if anyone tried to pet him. This behavior can be a sign that an animal hasn’t had much human interaction (or that they may have been abused).
Over time, he has started to come out of his shell. Timmy will now approach us and allow us to pet him. He's making friends with all the other dogs at the shelter, which has really helped his confidence, and LOVES toys. Timmy could play for hours alone with just one toy.
We are so happy that we’ve been able to see this little guy blossom with patience and love from ALIVE Rescue volunteers.
